Technical Trainer


  • Communicates with Drafting Managers to identify training needs, as well as mapping out development plans for both groups and individuals
  • Stays up-to-date on new training methods and techniques by attending in-house and remote training
  • Researches and selects the best platform to deliver and utilize training materials
  • Builds training programs and prepares teaching plans for onboarding, software/procedure implementation, and general annual maintenance training
  • Translates requirements into effective training curriculum that will groom employees to reach their full potential
  • Acclimates new hires and outsource partners to standard operating procedure and conduct orientation sessions
  • Assesses instructional effectiveness to ensure incorporation of taught skills and techniques into employees’ work routine
  • Periodically evaluates ongoing training programs to ensure that they reflect any changes or enhancements
  • Works closely with BIM Manager to ensure integration of most up to date tools, content, and practices
  • Assists in development of Standard Operating Procedure documentation and manuals
  • Provides technical support and content building as training demand allows
  • Periodically travels to remote office locations as necessary


  • Minimum of five years’ experience in utilizing BIM tools and software, with a strong preference in precast, construction and/or architectural industries, where “design and build” were critical to success
  • Experience in the creation, maintenance, and upgrading of Revit templates and content
  • Ability to work well as part of a team and independently
  • Exceptional work ethic as well as a desire to uphold company values and demand the highest standard of conduct from self and others
  • Background in successfully interfacing with customers, engineering, operations and project management
  • Demonstrated success at coaching and training Revit users.
  • Ability to use time productively, maximize efficiency, and meet challenging work goals
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to take on additional responsibilities as needed, as well as determine and manage priorities with minimal guidance


  • High school diploma or GED
  • Revit Certification or Associates Degree preferred


  • Intermittent field / jobsite visits, will require safety precautions, and which may coincide with exposure to harsh weather.
  • Predominant working conditions are a general office environment with an occasional exposure to production environment.
