Mobile Service Technician (Journeyman)

Join Boyer as we expand our mobile service fleet on second shift in Rogers. We're looking for a technician experienced in both diagnosing and repairing diesel heavy trucks and mobile service. 


Travel to client sites, in the mobile service truck, and provide maintenance, repair, and diagnostic services for gas and diesel vehicles and equipment to include, but not limited to engine services, brake service, engine diagnosis, inspections, cooling system service, minor electrical, etc. Most common service calls include scheduled services and repairs, breakdown response, DOT inspections, PM services.

Primary Job Duties:

  • Perform instructed and scheduled repair, maintenance, and services as needed
  • Onsite diagnostics, repair, and breakdown response
  • Positive and professional interactions with customers
  • Keep customer updated on job and schedule status.
  • Stock and maintain service truck inventory, tool inventory, and all necessary paperwork daily
  • Strictly adhere to all safety rules and regulations; including adherence to all traffic laws
  • Communicate with management on space requirements, backlog of work, inventory issues, etc

  • 3+ years diesel mobile service experience:
  • Strong customer service skills
  • Minimum DOT Inspection Certified and Air Brake Certified
  • Ability to work independently
  • Ability to read and write legibly
  • Organizational skills
  • Ability to meet deadlines, prioritize workloads and handle multiple tasks• Ability to work outdoors for extended periods of time and in variable environments
  • Must have and maintain a clean driving record
  • Bilingual is a plus, not a requirement (English/Spanish)

Education and Experience:


  • Graduation from a diesel/heavy truck tech program
  • At least one OEM certification in process or completed
  • At least three years of on the job experience as a heavy truck technician


  • Required:  Driver's License
  • Preferred:  Either an A or B CDL or ability to obtain within 6 months

Physical demands:

  • Bend, twist, kneel, crouch
  • Lift to 70 pounds
  • Sitting for long periods of time in varied temperatures and weather conditions
