Electroneurodiagnostic Tech II

Location: St. Paul Campus - 200 University

Hours: 0.7FTE (28 hrs/wk); varying start times between 6am and 10am, 10 hour shifts. Off premise call required.

Position Summary:

The ND Technologist II is an allied health professional with experience in at least two ND procedures, which performs routine diagnostic testing procedures independently and complex procedures under the direction of a physician. Testing studies include electroencephalograms (EEG), video EEGs, evoked potentials (EP), nerve conduction studies (NCS), and neurophysiological intra-operative monitoring (NIOM). EEG, video EEG, NCS studies and Intra-operative monitoring are the modalities of primary focus of this position.

Specific duties are determined by the work setting or patient population served; however, in all positions, serving patients with challenging and complex conditions requires a concentration of specialized staff able to work in highly coordinated teams. We organize care around each patient’s condition which requires staff at multiple levels and across many departments to exhibit exceptional teamwork qualities including communicating efficiently and effectively and adopting the behaviors required for high functioning integrated teams, consistent with our Gillette CARES expectations.



  • Hold two or more of registries in EEG (REEGT), Intraoperative Neurophysiologic Monitoring (CNIM), or Long Term Monitoring (CLTM)
  • Minimum of 3 years clinical experience which includes at least 2 years in an additional END procedure.
  • Registration Electroencephalographic Technologist (R.EEGT.)
  • Certification in Intraoperative Neurophysiologic Monitoring (CNIM) or Long Term Monitoring (CLTM), Registerd Nerve Conduction Studies (R NCS T)
  • Must perform studies certified / registered in.
  • CPR certification
  • Demonstrated skills in time management, prioritization and communication
  • Knowledge of patient safety, infection control guidelines, and patient/family-centered care
  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Accurately assesses self-competence and identifies areas for continuous professional growth
  • Performance evaluation results which meet or exceeds standards on all criteria with no active performance improvement actions
  • Demonstrated leadership in one or more development and advancement activities


  • Graduate level degree in job related field
  • At least one year of Intraoperative monitoring
  • Experience working with pediatric and patients with disabilities
