Early Childhood Program Specialist

Job Description:

Program Summary: For more than 50 years, St. David’s Center has provided the highest quality of early childhood education to children ages 16 months - five years. We recognize that every child brings unique contributions and qualities to the classroom, and because of this, we use a Reggio Emilia-inspired philosophy where learning is guided collaboratively by children, teachers and environments that promote social and cognitive development through play.
Position Overview:
The Early Childhood Education Program Specialist is responsible for the recruitment, enrollment and intake process for ECE families. They are also responsible for the oversight of volunteer, events, staff files and supply ordering.
Responsibilities include:
  • Assist families through the enrollment process-paperwork, tour, and managing the waiting list.
  • Manage waitlist and classroom openings.
  • Ensure family information and changes are communicated to classroom, front desk, Finance, and Community Relations.
  • Communicate any developmental concerns noted in application to the ECE leadership team.
  • Collect and process drop in requests, vacation credit forms, and family reimbursement claims.
  •  Manage events, planning, and support-such as teacher appreciation week, staff development days and parent family informational events.
This position provides opportunities for growth and learning in a culture focused on building relationships that nurture the development of every child and family.
Schedule: 40 hours per week, M-F.
Pay: DOQ.
  • Post-secondary course work in Early Childhood, Special Education, or Administration
  • 3 years professional administration work
  • Knowledge of NAEYC, DHS Rule-3
  • 1-year classroom experience in the field of Early Childhood Education.
  • Fluent in Spanish
