Compliance Associate

Servion is a service organization located in New Brighton, MN, providing mortgage, title, realty, commercial loan resources, and financial advisement for credit unions and banks nationwide.  

Summary:
Professional and administrative work primarily involved in reviewing, maintaining and applying all federal and state guidelines and regulations to ensure compliance. Assists Compliance Officer with projects as needed effectively and efficiently. Must be able to maintain high levels of service to management, employees and partners.

Essential Responsibilities and Duties:

  • Providing research support, assisting with regulatory and compliance issues and gathering and organizing information for projects
  • Research and interpret State and Federal regulations
  • Monitor daily workload and update Compliance Officer with current status
  • Must have the ability to communicate with all levels of associates including the executive management team
  • Assists Compliance Officer and management team as needed
  • Must be capable of adapting, with minimal or no advance notice, to changes in how business is conducted and work is accomplished, with no diminishment in work performance
  • Assists gathering documentation for examinations with Federal and State Regulators and Investors.
  • Updating pertinent Company policies and procedures as needed and relating to Regulatory requirements.

Education (or Equivalent Experience):
High School Diploma with specific position-related experience

Experience:
1 to 2 years related mortgage and mortgage compliance experience.


Skills/Knowledge/Abilities:

  • Strong research and analytical skills.
  • Demonstrates strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Excellent time management skills with an emphasis on quality.
  • Knowledge of policies, principles and practices of mortgage loan processing and underwriting.
  • Demonstrates qualities of self-motivation, creative and independent thinking.
  • Works well with others in a team environment.
  • Ability to multi task between analytical projects and adapts to modification of the work flow.
  • Possesses strong computer skills.
  • Some knowledge of Federal and State Regulations surrounding Real Estate Lending
  • Ability to be able to work independently.
  • Proficient in Microsoft office suite.
