Job Summary

The purpose of this position is to serve as the primary case manager for Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act (WIOA), Federal Dislocated Worker (DW), adult programs and State Dislocated Worker services to eligible recipients, along with career services to universal customers. The incumbent may also provide limited support to Adult Career Pathways services (ACP) and programs. The position also serves partner relationships between local CareerForce locations, key education partners and Employers throughout the region. The incumbent will also assist universal customers with career services in the way of resource area support and workshop development and facilitation.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications

To receive credit for your education and experience, your resume should clearly describe how you meet each minimum and/or preferred qualification listed, including dates of employment.

Three (3) years* of customer service or customer support experience providing prompt, courteous and accurate information to customers

OR

One (1) year* of experience in a role providing employment and training services, case management, or a similar role as determined by the agency

*Bachelor's degree in Vocational Rehabilitation, Education, Social Work, Human Services, Counseling, or other closely related field as determined by the agency may substitute one (1) year of experience; master's degree substitutes for eighteen (18) months of experience; PhD substitutes for twenty-four (24) months of experience

Applicants that meet the above minimum qualification will be further evaluated on the following:

Experience developing and maintaining relationships with a diverse client set.

Ability to form and grow connections with community partners in education and supportive services.

Ability to organize and facilitate workshops and presentations for the purpose of educating and recruiting applicants into the program grants.

Ability to work independently and multi-task with attention to detail.

Experience using Microsoft Office Suite products (Outlook, Word Excel, Teams, PowerPoint, etc.) or similar software.

Preferred Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Vocational Rehabilitation, Education, Social Work, Human Services, Counseling, or other closely related field as determined by the agency.

Experience providing career guidance and coaching.

Skill in communicating in a secondary language, such as Spanish or Somali.

Grant management experience involving evaluating, administering, accounting for, training and/or monitoring of grant/grants proposals, grant agreements, or grant recipients for a grant making organization.
