Job Summary Please see additional requirements section for further qualifications. The Population Health Equity Intern in this position will provide support for major service delivery design and implementation in the area of population health. The Equity Intern will participate in various projects under the Office of Medicaid Medical Director (OMMD) and assist in the development of strategies to incorporate population health measures in public policy making. Internship Responsibilities include but not limited to: • Assess population needs, assets and capacities that affect communities' health • Evaluate policies for their impact on public health and health equity • Demonstrate how to turn data into information and action to influence public health policies and programs • Explain the effects of policies, programs, community-based interventions that promote improving health for different populations in communities • Analyzing population-level data on enrollment and health outcomes for Minnesotans • Assist in creation of a public outreach campaigns on health equity • Create a virtual library of resources on health equity and participate in the development of a newsletter for OMMD Qualifications Minimum Qualifications To facilitate proper crediting, please ensure that your resume clearly describes your experience in the areas listed and indicates the beginning and ending month and year for each job held.
