GENERAL DESCRIPTION


Plant Maintenance monitors, maintains, and repairs equipment/systems at each facility to ensure they are operating safely and efficiently.


ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES


-Inspect and troubleshoot equipment and systems.


-Respond to maintenance service requests in a timely manner with a positive attitude


-Check functionality of safety systems.


-Set up and install appliances and equipment.


-Check control panels and electrical wiring to identify issues.


-Perform routine inspections and preventative maintenance and installation on a variety of systems including mechanical, electrical, plumbing, HVAC, boilers, air and hydraulic systems, problem diagnosis, and other systems specific to our business


-Have knowledge of and have the appropriate license to operate boiler systems or be willing to obtain a boiler operator license within 1 year.


-Operate/inspect overhead crane-ways and forklifts


-Inspection of travel lifts (Drotts/Mi-Jacks).


-Performs duties indoors and outdoors.


-Follow company safety policies and procedures.


-Maintain a clean and clutter free work zone.


-Accountable to practice BSP program and housekeeping in their assigned area.


-Knowledge of Lock Out/Tag Out procedures.


-Maintain maintenance/inspection records and assist in scheduling maintenance.


-Complete special projects as requested and performs other duties as assigned.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, QUALIFICATIONS AND ABILITIES REQUIRED


-Must have interpersonal communication skills to interact with co-workers, supervisors, and managers.


-Know and understand safety procedures.


-Must be able to solve problems quickly and efficiently.


-Must have appropriate boilers license (Site Specific)


-Must be motivated and self-driven to complete a task


-Ability to work with others to get the project completed efficiently.


-Knowledge in mechanical, electrical, plumbing, air and hydraulic systems.

EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS


-High School Diploma or GED.


-Education, training in General Maintenance, welding, electrical, boiler experience preferred.


WORKING CONDITIONS


-Moderate to high risk of exposure to unusual elements.


-Moderate to high risk of safety precautions.


-Moderate to high exposure to production environment.
