Every day, more architects, engineers, contractors, developers, and owners specify Wells precast building components for their construction needs and with this continue success, we are looking to hire a motivated self-starting Civil Engineer to join our team. The successful candidate will have a bachelor's degree (or higher) in civil engineering from an accredited four-year college or the ability to obtain the degree within nine months of hire date.


Description: To work collaboratively with Wells Senior Engineers to design precast structures and overseeing all aspects of projects to ensure successful and safe outcomes, quality products, quality service, and satisfied customers by working with all departments within the Company.


Key Responsibilities include:
-Interpret Architectural/Structural plans and performs required calculations to ensure structural integrity.
-Oversees a project design team and is accountable for project milestones and the successful deliverable to internal and external customers.
-Identifies potential issues with project schedules and quality and responds with proposed solutions with internal teams.
-Seek advice from senior and peer engineers to aide in unfamiliar designs and responsibilities to find the best solutions.
-Collaborate with internal departments to find optimal solutions.
-Coordinates with Contractors/Engineers/Architects/Owners as required
-Provide sales staff with engineering support for prospect jobs.
-Visits manufacturing facilities and construction sites as required for assigned projects
-Handles concerns and issues as necessary during any phase of the project.
-Needs to make timely, educated decisions based on needs and requirements.
-Prepares appropriate fixes for errors that have occurred on the projects.

Key Requirements, Skills, & Qualifications:
-Bachelor's degree in civil/structural engineering, or comparable ABET accredited degree
-0+ years' experience required, and a preference in design engineering in the precast industry
-Interpersonal communication skills to interact with co-workers, supervisors, and managers.
-Experience with Microsoft office software.
-Ability to interact with customers in a professional manner
-Adapt to challenges to become Best in Class
