Position Description:
Schedule: Minimum 4 hrs/day *Start and End Time Vary. Float to Sites As Needed.
FUNCTION: With moderate supervision, completes a variety of tasks in the central and/or school kitchen, including preparation of food, serving of food, cleaning dishes and utensils and operating a cash register point of service terminal.
RESPONSIBLE TO:
Manager Food Service Operations
QUALIFICATIONS:
* High School Diploma or GED
* Ability to function as a team member
* Ability to work independently with moderate supervision
* Ability to interact positively with others
* Ability to perform repetitive work
* Work under specific instructions, oral and written
* Perform a variety of duties
* Maintain food service equipment and facilities in clean and sanitary conditions
* Ability to communicate effectively
* Good personal hygiene.
* Must be able to lift 50#
* Constant standing, walking, twisting bending, reaching
* Normal commercial production facility conditions
* Environment can be noisy
* Stand on concrete all day
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
* Prepare & serve food that is visually attractive, appetizing & satisfying to the customer.
* Wrap and or portion foods
* Prepare & serve food in accordance with required food safety & sanitation procedures.
* Portion food using utensils and containers; wrap burgers and sandwiches; set up food
* Supply food to serving lines and prep lines.
* Scrapes, cleans and sanitize cooking equipment.
* Maintain equipment properly.
* Comply with established recipes in preparing all food items.
* Provide accurate & timely numbers related to production, ordering & inventory as needed.
* Perform other duties as assigned.
SALARY: Internal lateral moves will remain on the same Tier. Promotions, demotions, and new hires will start on Tier II.
SEIU Local #284 Tier II $12.36/hr. |
