Position Description
Conduct system engineering in support of the development of Neuromodulation Implantable Drug Infusion Systems.
Position Responsibilities
Primary responsibilities will include development of methods to ensure system feasibility, requirement validation, and system verification for class III medical devices. Tasks include: planning, system analysis, system design, requirements analysis and allocation, attending design reviews, development of test systems, writing test procedures, writing requirements, performing tests, operating test equipment, and interacting with multidisciplinary teams.
Ensure personal understanding of all quality policy/system items that are personally applicable.
Follow all work/quality procedures to ensure quality system compliance and high quality work.
Basic Qualifications
BS degree and 5+ years engineering experience of MS degree and 3+ years engineering experience.
Experience in the development of product requirements. Experience in development of test apparatus and automated test procedures.
Desired/Preferred Qualifications
Knowledge in Fluid Mechanics, Chemistry, Material Science and/or Human Physiology is highly beneficial.
Experience with requirements management tools is preferred. Experience working in the medical device or other regulated industry is preferred.
MS degree in engineering with systems product development experience.
Physical Job Requirements
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit, talk and hear 8 hours per day.
Must be able to stand, walk, and use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools or controls 8 hours per day.
Qualified candidate must be able to reach with hands and arms on a regular basis.
The employee must be able to occasionally lift and/or move objects up to 20 pounds.
Must be able to perform this job in a work environment that has a noise level of quiet to moderate. Specific vision abilities required by this job involve normal vision and the use of optics, such as microscopes. |
