ESSENTIAL DUTIES INCLUDE:
• Conducts and interprets psychodiagnostic evaluations including individual intelligence assessments, objective personality instruments, projective assessments, abilities testing, neuropsychological screenings. • Interprets psychological and diagnostic evaluations and providing consultation regarding diagnosis and treatment to psychiatrists and other mental health professionals. • Provides psychological evaluations and interpreting data and consultation services for County attorneys, Court Services, schools, private physicians, and other groups.
• Reviews and signs off on diagnostic assessments. • Provides primary diagnosis as per guidelines of Rule 29 and Health Care/Insurance guidelines. • Conducts individual, couples, family, and group psychotherapy.
• Intervenes in crisis situations, making immediate assessments and referrals for emergency situations.
• Participates in clinical peer review of clients receiving services at the Scott County Mental Health Center.
• Provides intake consultations and initial treatment planning. • Maintains clinical records of case/client contact according to state and agency standards. • Attends scheduled staff meetings. • Participates in public education programs by meeting with and speaking before groups to inform the public about mental health services available. • Works the days and hours necessary to perform all assigned responsibilities and tasks.
• Performs related duties as required or assigned.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Requires a Doctorate-level license in clinical psychology OR licensure as a psychologist with board certified competency in psychological evaluations (including intellectual, personality, diagnostic, neuro-psychological, forensic and projective evaluation, scoring, and interpretation) and 2 years experience in psychological evaluations and therapy.

CLASSIFICATION: 8471 – Psychologist I
HIRING RANGE: Up to $68,442 - DOQ
SALARY GRADE: 13 - $54,754 to $82,130. Performance based salary maximum $98,461.
SELECTION METHOD: Rating of Training & Experience. All qualified candidates will be considered.
