| Basic requirements:
Completion of a four-year degree in Mechanical Engineering (BSME).
Professional Engineer capable of multi-state registration.
Minimum of 10 years experience in mechanical (HVAC & Plumbing) engineering.
Working knowledge of IMC, IPC, IFGC & IECC codes
Skill sets/Project experience:
Ability to perform heating/cooling/energy calculations using software.
Extensive project experience with HVAC and plumbing systems.
General knowledge of refrigeration, fire protection & process piping a plus.
Extensive knowledge of ASHRAE standards and guidelines.
Extensive knowledge of ASPE (plumbing engineers) standard & guidelines.
General knowledge of IIAR standards & guidelines.
General knowledge of NFPA 13, 13R, 54, 90A, 90B & 96.
Ability to mark-up project specific mechanical specifications.
Experience with remodel and retro-fit project documents.
Comfortable in directing small mechanical teams.
Comfortable in meeting client and identifying mechanical project needs.
Additional Experience/Skill Sets plus are:
LEED certification
HVAC commissioning
